All dishes combine seasonal locally sourced produce and fresh seafood from local shores, carefully prepared by a team of the best international chefs led by executive Chef Meeran Manzoor. Blue Haven also specialise in Irish Gin’s and have there our own Blue Haven Gin, produced in conjunction with the amazing local Distillery Blacks of Kinsale along with there our own New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for you to enjoy. Experience their latest Cocktail Menu, their Premium Whiskeys and The Ultimate Irish Coffee in a stylish atmosphere.

Expect a unique customer journey from arrival until departure, bespoke cocktails prepared by our master mixologist, wines exclusively selected by our expert Sommelier including organic, vegan, and biodynamic wines, a distinctive whiskey collection featuring rare and exclusive whiskeys and lots of other little delights & surprises along the way.

Executive Chef Meeran Manzoor brings his culinary expertise from all corners of the world to the highlight of his career as he juxtaposes and plays with everything that’s classical and also current about food. The concept for Rare @ The Blue Haven aims to deliver an explorative and creative menu that constantly changes, and a style of preparation that delivers on the cornerstone of fine dining elements, yet in a pleasant, playful and modern way. The Rare dining room will feature only the finest, and even rarest of ingredients, with local, chemical free, and ethically produced being integral to the ethos. Careful planning and a lot of deep thought has gone into the creation of Rare to ensure the overall experience is one you will always remember.

Rare combines the sites history as a Bonded Ware House in the 1800 and 1900s with its origins as the Kinsale Meat Market and adjoining Fish Market in the 1700s and pairs them to create something new and unique to Kinsale.
