Shrimps Seafood Bistro is located at Kierans Folkhouse Inn, a charming 250 year old country Inn situated in the heart of historic Kinsale, the Culinary Capital of Ireland. The Inn has 27 en-suite bedrooms, individually finished in cottage style to the highest standard of comfort, each with colour television, hairdryer, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.

Shrimps Seafood Bistro, open nightly, offers an imaginative and reasonably priced menu featuring steak, duck, lamb and locally caught seafood as well as oysters, mussels and fresh West Cork lobster, straight from the tank. This comfortable restaurant features the works of local artist, Geraldine Kieran and these are available for purchase. A notable and unique feature is the stained-glass wall to the left of the room.

Head Chef Malcolm Leahair and Sous Chet David O’Neill lead a well-established and professional kitchen brigade.

Shrimps offers a comprehensive wine list of over 70 wines, owner selected from the top wine suppliers in the South including Christy's Wines, Findlaters, Barry & Fitzwilliam, TDL Ltd and Gilbeys. The restaurant is fully licensed and can cater for groups and is available for private parties

Our main bar, the “Cordoba”, reflects the influences of the Spanish and French seafaring traditions of the town and has an enviable reputation for the excellence of its bar food. Live music is featured regularly in season and the bar is the base for a number of fleadhs and festivals.
